In this Household Heroes workshop, you’ll learn how to confidently repair common wall damage and properly hang items of different weights. We’ll cover patching nail and anchor holes, choosing the right anchors, finding studs, understanding weight ratings, and mounting items securely and cleanly.

Learn how to design and build a band saw box from start to finish. In this hands-on workshop, participants will cut, shape, and assemble a decorative wooden box using a band saw. Topics include layout and design, safe band saw techniques, drawer cutting, sanding, and final assembly. Participants will leave with a completed band saw box and the skills to create their own unique designs.

No two nights look exactly the same, but each one offers an easy, welcoming way to explore, make, and connect.

Design a single graphic or phrase and apply it to both a glass can cup and a cotton tea towel using sublimation. This beginner-friendly workshop covers setup, placement, and heat application so your designs transfer cleanly and last.

Learn how to safely and confidently use the Brother sewing machines in the MadJax Design Lab while making two jar grippers, one square and one circle, to practice straight seams and curves. You’ll also learn how to use tissue paper when sewing grabby fabrics like shelf liner so materials feed smoothly through the machine. No prior experience required.

Participants will choose a graphic, pattern, or text and use the Glowforge to engrave it onto a pre-made wooden tray. We’ll cover file setup, design considerations for engraving, material settings, and how to achieve clean results. After engraving, you’ll finish your piece by applying wood stain to enhance contrast and bring out the details of your design.

This beginner-friendly class focuses on practical skills you can apply to future projects, with an emphasis on thoughtful design and hands-on finishing techniques. You’ll leave with a completed engraved catchall and a deeper understanding of how laser tools can enhance everyday objects.
