This workshop introduces participants to the basics of using the Brother sewing machine in the Design Lab. In just two hours, you'll learn how to thread the machine, sew, and troubleshoot problems. This training session will give you the skills needed to make hand warmers and start your sewing journey. Each member will leave with a finished project.
Welding Member Training is MadJax’s introductory welding course designed for Maker Space members who want to gain access to our welding equipment and build foundational metalworking skills.
This workshop introduces participants to the basics of using the joiner, planer, and router. Participants will learn how to safely and effectively turn uneven, rough-sawn boards into flat, square, and consistently sized stock ready for woodworking projects.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a functional bowl cozy while learning why quilting is necessary to stabilize batting and keep layers secure. Strengthen your seam accuracy, fabric control, and confidence using the Brother sewing machines in the MadJax Design Lab. All materials provided.
Build foundational woodshop cutting skills while learning safe, confident operation of the band saw, miter saw, and table saw. We’ll cover tool features and limitations, setup, safe body positioning, basic cutting techniques, and shop safety practices.
