NOVEMBER Large Format PRINTING MEMBER TRAINING

Learn how to print on both large format printers in the Design Lab! MadJax has two large format printers that can be used for many purposes; the EPSON excels in photography and art prints, and the HP excels at very large scale prints and other general use.

In this course you will learn:

  • Printer anatomy and use cases

  • How to load and unload rolls and cut sheets

  • How to format media for printing at large scales

  • The software on Site for creating print jobs

  • How to choose the perfect paper for your prints 

This training is FREE to current Maker Space Members.

Meet your instructor: ISAIAH SCHEVOLA

Isaiah is a Photographer, Problem Solver, and Maker with approximate knowledge in many things. He has a Maker background in 3D modeling, small electronics, and woodworking. Isaiah earned his degree from Ball State University in IT and currently works at Ball State University in Desktop support full time while supporting members as a Design Lab Tech a few nights a week and on the weeken. When not working, he enjoys nature, gaming (both video & cardboard), and learning new skills to add to his mental toolbox.

For sewing students who have completed 2 or more basic sewing classes or have a basic understanding of sewing.

Students will how to appliqué to shirts, adding decorations made of other shirts or scrap fabrics. In this workshop participants will get practice and build their confidence in their sewing abilities. They may bring their own machines if they prefer.

Participants must bring their own shirt and on which to appliqué; scrap fabrics are provided, but participants may bring their own fabrics to play with as well.
