Participants will create personalized Christmas ornaments featuring a silhouette of their dog’s breed or cat and their pet’s name. Ornament designs will be prepared digitally, and the Glowforge will cut the ornaments during class. Participants will be able to observe the laser-cutting process before painting and assembling their finished ornaments.

Meet your instructor: ROSE BENNETT
Rose is a multidisciplinary artist drawn to the freedom and possibility of working across a variety of creative mediums. Her practice spans pottery, photography, drawing, painting, digital art, and, most recently, stained glass. Rose enjoy exploring new techniques and continuously expanding her skills, allowing each medium to influence and inform the next.
“One of the things I enjoy most about working across different mediums is the balance between structure and freedom. Some mediums allow me to embrace her perfectionist side, focusing on precision, detail, and technique. Others give me the freedom to experiment, make mistakes, and discover something unexpected in the process. I value both sides of that experience and enjoy how they challenge me in different ways.”
“Much of my creative life happens between MadJax Maker Space and Cornerstone for the Arts. As a member of MadJax and an instructor at Cornerstone, these spaces have become an important part of my creative community and practice. I often joke that I spend more time between those two places than I do at home, but they truly feel like a second home—places where I can create, learn, teach, and connect with other artists.
Books, travel, and the world around me are constant sources of inspiration, often sparking new ideas, stories, and creative experiments. For me, being an artist means staying curious, continuing to learn, and allowing each new medium to open the door to the next idea.”
