Lathe Sessions 1: Intro to Woodturning - IN PROGRESS
Spindle Turning Workshop | Mondays, July 1–22 | 6:00–8:00 PM
This four-part, members-only workshop is currently in progress and not open for new registration. Led by experienced woodturner Jason Robinson, participants are learning foundational skills in spindle turning on the lathe—shaping wood into functional and decorative items like candlesticks, tool handles, and ornaments.
We’re excited to offer this hands-on learning opportunity and look forward to developing more programs like it. Stay tuned for future sessions!
Meet your instructor: JASON ROBINSON
After studying Fine Art and Graphic Design in college, Jason Robinson stepped into a leadership role that allowed him to grow as a digital artist, leader, process improvement manager, and teacher, trainer, and mentor. While he always maintained a strong interest in the arts, his creative pursuits often took a backseat to his professional career. In 2020, like many others, he found time to explore new creative processes, which led him to discover woodturning—a craft that has captivated him ever since. Following an early retirement in 2025, Jason began turning full time and actively engaging with Muncie’s vibrant Maker community.
