Connect with other older adults during this five session class. Instructors will guide participants through the basics of hand-building pottery techniques including clay preparation, treatment, and glazing. Students will each complete a custom place setting including plate, bowl, cup, and accessories. During the last class session, participants are invited to contribute to a community meal to use their place settings, sharing conversation about the role of food and meal times in family and cultural traditions.

Older adults may be accompanied by a younger relative or caregiver through the registration of two participants. This class is led by Tammeron & Anna Francis, a husband and wife team from ClayWood Pottery.
All of our workshops and classes are led by professional makers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators and community partners. We strive to provide high-quality and unique learning experiences. Registration will close up to 72 hours prior to the start of the event to provide time for instructors to prepare.
